Spring Thing Projects DONE!!

We had our get together on Wednesday for our group  http://www.theknottystitchers.com/  and we all showed off our creative ideas for our Spring Thing . We had all been working for the last month on a secret project for ourselves because normally we make all sorts of things and donate them to special places throughout our community. Each person had to come up with and make anything they wanted as long as it was specifically for themselves SO............. the following is what everyone came up with Hope You Enjoy Looking.

         This is a cute penguin and snowflake Dresden plate wall hanging for my kitchen.

        This is Aimee's cute bunny box that she made to hold her quilt in progress squares.

 Aunt Edith made an adorable knit fancy yarn shawl in beautiful cranberry color.

 My cousin Henrietta made a really cute quilted table runner and also a matching journal cover .

 Aunt Bea made an adorable bag with cute little bunnies and wording . She added a pocket on inside and has a real nice strap attached for on the shoulder .

Well i didnt get any pictures but we also had the most delicious luncheon too with 3 kinds of homemade quiche, fruit salad, 2 types of pinwheel rolls and yummy crab cakes. I hope you all enjoy looking at our spring creations and thank you.

SPRING THING, what will it be?

My fellow stitchers and I have a secret project we are all working on and I think I have finally decided on what mine will be. The rules for this are that it has to be something we make for ourselves because we are always making things for other people and donating . I wanted to do a small post for this so that when i am finished with my project I can post for my followers and anyone else that may want to peek here.  The edge is on all strips now I have to put all strips together and finish off.

                               This is my daughters blanket I started last year and had set aside . I now realize it has been sitting unfinished for almost a year so I am determined to work on it and get it finished for her. I have a few other unfinished projects as well that had gotten set aside and I will be tending to them as well in the near future.

                                          This is another picture of it as you can see i am about halfway finished with it so my goal now is to get the other half finished and put it together for my daughter to use it on her bed.

Fabric for kitchen project

 These are some new fabrics i got to do a project with. I want to do my kitchen in a penguin theme and thought this would make a great table runner or maybe even some place mats so I bought them and eventually will find a pattern I like to get them finished.

Random stuff lately

Hello all!! I have been slacking lately so I want to try now and make sure i post at least once a week if not more.I really need to get back into the swing of things and get on track for all of my followers that are with me. So without any further blabbing , I want to post some pictures of things i have done lately.

 This is a blanket i have for sale that i just finished in pinks . I have been crocheting a lot of stuff lately  in a pretty shell design I really like the way it works up quick and looks kinda fancy.
